MAT Exam Overview

MAT – Management Aptitude Test is conducted by the All India Management Association, towards admission to Management Programs in India.

Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is a standard test for Management Institutions to screen candidates for admission to MBA and other allied programs. Any Management Institution national or international can consider MAT Score as an admission input based on the Score Cards issued to the candidates.

MAT Registration and Eligibility

MAT is usually conducted 4 times in a year in February, May, September and December. The minimum qualification for appearing in MAT is graduation in any discipline from any recognized University or equivalent recognized degree. A final year student in any undergraduate (i.e. B.A, B.Sc., B.Com., B.Tech., etc) can also appear provisionally.

MAT Exam Pattern

MAT is conducted both on a paper based test and computer based test. The Paper Based Test is being conducted on the first Sunday of the February, May, September and December from 1000-1230 hours. Whereas the Computer Based Test is being conducted from Saturday onwards (6 days after the Paper Based Test date) and in different Time slots.

MAT Exam Syllabus

The MAT syllabus covers general English comprehension skills, in additions it mainly tests the analytics, reasoning and math skills of the participating candidates. The total test consists of 200 questions spread across the various topics and should be taken in 2:30 Hrs time.
