UPSC Engineering Service Exam Eligibility

The Engineering Service exams are conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission), towards fulfilling the vacancies across various positions in the government of India for Engineers.

Any candidate aspiring to take up the Engineering Service Examination should ensure that he is eligible as per the below eligibility criteria’s.
(i) Nationality:
(1) For the Indian Administrative Service and the Indian Police Service, must be a citizen of India.
(2) For other services, must be a citizen of India or a subject of Nepal, Bhutan, Tibetan refugee

(ii) Age Limits:
(a) A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years.

(iii) Educational Qualifications:
The candidate must hold an Engineering degree of any of Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section-3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956.
