CMAT Exam Overview

AICTE launched the first national level Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) in 2012 for facilitating institutions to select suitable students for admission in all management programs approved by AICTE from year 2012-13. AICTE further decided to conduct CMAT twice a year from 2013 for facilitating institutions to select suitable students for admission in all management programs approved by AICTE. The first round is conducted in September and second in February. The scores are awarded and All India Merit List is prepared for both the examinations. Better of the two scores are used for admission


All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) is a statutory body under Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Govt. of India enacted by the Parliament through AICTE Act 1986 with a view for proper planning and coordinated development of technical education system throughout the country, the promotion of qualitative improvement of such education in relation to planned quantitative growth and the regulation and proper maintenance of norms and standards in the technical education.

CMAT Registration and Eligibility

CMAT is conducted twice a year from for facilitating institutions to select suitable students for admission in all management programs approved by AICTE. The first round is conducted in September and second in February.

Eligibility
Graduates in any discipline or Final year students of Graduate Courses (10+2+3) whose result will be declared before commencement of admission for 2014 can apply for CMAT online.
Note: In case of foreign nationals the eligibility will be as per recognition and equivalence standards notified by Association of Indian Universities

CMAT Exam Pattern

CMAT is the computer based online entrance test of three hours duration with 100 multiple choice questions spread over four sections.
