Overview
The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection or IBPS is the governing body authorized by the Government of India to conduct a national qualifying exam to select people who wish to be employed as officers or clerks at any of the 20 public sector banks and regional rural banks. The qualifying exam is the CWE or Common Written Exam that tests people on Quantitative Aptitude, English, Reasoning Ability, Computer Knowledge and Banking Awareness. The questions are in the form of multiple choice questions and the marking scheme is such that incorrect answers attract negative marking.
